Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson |
Wilson, the 24 year old rookie out of Wisconsin, quickly earned the starting quarterback job in Seattle over former Packers back-up Matt Flynn. Wilson was always criticized for being small, and was told he couldn't be an NFL quarterback. That being said, Wilson has proven all of the people who doubted him. He has thrown for 2,697 yards and 21 touchdowns in 14 games this season. For a rookie, that is very impressive. What is even more impressive is that he is limiting his mistakes. Wilson has only thrown nine interceptions this year, while Andrew Luck has thrown 18 interceptions. Robert Griffin III has thrown only four interceptions on the season while throwing for 18 touchdowns, causing most people to push for Robert Griffin III to be rookie of the year, but don't over look what Wilson is doing in Seattle. He has this team at 9-5, and the Seahawks look hungry to make a run in the playoffs this season.

Wilson has had a good year but I still have my doubts as to him being a franchise QB in this league. I think teams are going to begin to figure him out.
ReplyDeleteWilson has matured quickly, so we will have to see if he has the ability to adapt to the defenses teams throw at him
