Melo Pushes Knicks By Rubio, Timberwolves

Melo scored 36 (12 in the 4th quarter) against the Timberwolves last night
The New York Knicks were very sluggish through the first three quarters against the Timberwolves last night. Carmelo Anthony refused to let his team fall to a team that they should beat, as he stepped up his game. Carmelo scored 12 in the fourth quarter of the game to propel the Knicks to the 100-94 victory. Anthony had 36 points and nine rebounds in the win.

Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was significantly outplayed by Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio last night. Rubio put up 18 points and 11 assists in the game, recording a double-double. Felton scored 11 points in the game.

Carmelo Anthony missed a lot of shots early, but refused to let that stop him as he turned it on late to make sure the Knicks didn't lose two games in a row. Tyson Chandler had a poor performance, but he had been playing very well as of late. He was due for a bad night. Nikola Pekovic of the Wolves scored 16 points and recorded 11 rebounds to out play Chandler down low. The Knicks were able to beat the Wolves on the road, giving them a 13-10 record on the road, and a 32-16 record overall. The Wolves fell to 18-29. The Knicks were unable to catch a game on the Heat as Miami defeated the Clippers at home 111-89 last night behind a 30 point performance by LeBron James.

Notes:
Carmelo went over the 30 point mark for the 17th time this season after last night's game.
Carmelo currently only trails Kevin Durant for the NBA scoring title.
